Shichijishiki ( special tea ceremony in seven- event style)
Yesterday I attended shichijishiki which is the special tea ceremony in seven- event style.
Shichijishiki is composed with seven events such as rotating flower arrangements event and rotating charcoal setting procedure event which respectively requires all attendants to do flower arrangements and charcoal setting procedures in turn.
Kazucha event means every attendant serves tea in turn after the results of the specially designed game.
Tocha event is the game to guess the right one among 3 or 5 hidden tea brands.
It requires several hours to complete 7 events and yesterday we did 4 out of 7 for 5 hours.
It is a kind of a game just for fun, but it requires you to study a wide variety of Japanese cultures for playing better in the game.
That is one of the reason why tea ceremony is considered to be the composite of total Japanese cultures
